So if you've been reading this blog at all, you've probably seen a trend...a lot of the music I now enjoy I discovered while driving through Alabama on my way to Georgia.

Zee Avi was another of the artists I got to enjoy hearing for the first time last April. At the time I was hearing her song "Bitter Heart" (which is a great song, though not my favorite of hers).

Zee Avi is a Malaysian singer-songwriter, guitarist, and ukulele player. She was born in Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia. She moved to Kuala Lumpur when she was 12 and later went on to study fashion design at American InterContinental University in London. In September 2007 Avi posted a video of her first song on YouTube for one of her friends who had missed her first performance in Kuala Lumpur. That posting got her discovered and she is now on the artist roster for Jack Johnson's label, Brushfire Records.
